Love the One You’re With Review
Overall Book Rating: 4.5/5
Read it, or save your time? A clever, substantial, and thought-provoking chick-lit (worst term ever, sorry) novel. And SO relatable. I mean, who at some point hasn’t questioned their relationship and wondered if the grass really is greener on the other side??
What’s it about? A successful photographer in NY and recently married to Andy, a successful lawyer and doting husband from a picturesque ‘old money’ Atlanta family, Ellen is truly and blissfully happy. However, after a chance run-in on the street with her ex-boyfriend, Leo, she can’t seem to shake the old feelings that begin to surface After all, their relationship was so intense and passionate…does she have that with Andy? Was Andy just second choice after Leo broker her heart? As Ellen enters into a flirtatious friendship with Leo, who is determined to win her back, she is plagued with what-if’s. Caught in the crossroads, she must look deep inside herself to make the biggest decision of her life.
Reviewer’s Note: This book beautifully captures the nuance of the human heart, and is one of Giffin’s best works.
